"In 1974, Osprey was born in Santa Cruz, California. Quickly developing a reputation for quality and innovation, demand soon outstripped supply. In 1990 Osprey moved to Colorado, production staffed by a small but highly skilled group of Navajo workers. Ten years later the company was still growing, yet new employees and raw materials were in short supply. Osprey moved production to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam where it remains today. Osprey is very proud of it’s made in Vietnam label and its hard earned reputation for quality and innovation in packs is as important now as it was back in 1974." Company Statement

Osprey supplied the team with Xenith backpacks. These products was without question vital to the successful outcome of PNG expedition. With so many months of walking through jungle and mountains, Osprey's good back system and tough rugged pack gave Richard and Patrick a real advantage.
